New and Improved Website

We have added a few new interesting things to our website. First is a "meet our children" tab. We thought it would be a great way for churches to learn about our children. Our kids are our ministry team and we thank God for them every day. Both of them take the ministry and their participation in the ministry very seriously. Sam loves to help pass out prayer cards and Luke loves to bring friends to the display table to show them the display items.

A second addition to our website is a chat button. We thought it would be a neat way for people to be in direct contact with us when we are online. Be sure to visit www.truthtoall.com.

God's grace in Jude's arrival

Praise the Lord for the newest addition to the Sykes family - Jude Abram Sykes.  God's grace and timing were truly a proof of His love toward us.  February is right in the middle of conference season and as you could imagine, we were scheduled this past weekend to be in a mission's conference in Savannah, GA. Long before the weekend arrived we decided that it was best if Sarah stayed home because it was becoming increasingly more difficult for her to get around and her contractions were coming more and more steadily.  On Thursday, February 19 (the day Jude was born) I took a trip with my father-in-law to Asheville, North Carolina to meet with a pastor.  On the way back I received that phone call that all men wait for . . . "honey, I think it's time".  I urged her to get to the doctor right away and when she arrived the doctor agreed it was time.  The night progressed quickly and Jude was born at 11:32 p.m.

There were several answers to prayer where we can see God's hand through this birth. First of all, I was able to be there for Jude's birth.  As you can imagine the more contractions she had with the passing days, the more I became nervous that she would go into labor while I was out of town.  Secondly, God was also gracious in that Jude will not need the surgery that both Luke and Sam both had.  Both Sam and Luke were born with a condition called hypospadias (I will let you look it up on your own), and we were told that most likely it was a genetic condition and all of our boys would need surgery. Again, God was gracious and Jude was not born with this condition.

The birth was quick and smooth, I was able to attend, and we do not need to worry about a future surgery.  God truly was gracious to us!
